With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Former Indian cricket team captain Dattajirao Krishnarao Gaekwad, affectionately known as DK. He breathed his last at his residence in Baroda on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024. He was 95 years old.

Dattajirao Krishnarao Gaekwad, fondly remembered by cricket enthusiasts as a stalwart of the game, leaves behind a legacy that has profoundly impacted the cricketing world. As captain of the Indian cricket team, DK led with wisdom, grace, and an unwavering dedication to the sport he loved.
